Acupuncture
Very thin, disposable needles are gently inserted into acupuncture points along energetic channels on the body. These needles activate and balance the body’s vital substances bringing about a highly direct and controlled restorative response. Acupuncture can stimulate nerves, increase blood circulation, relieve muscle spasms and reduce inflammation. Acupuncture can cause a release of hormones, for example “feel good” chemicals such as endorphins or cortisol, which make you feel peaceful and relaxed. Acupuncture treats the whole body by stimulating the body’s immune system so the body can heal itself. The ultimate goal is for your body to balance itself and keep you happy and healthy, free of “dis-ease on its own! “

Electro-Acupuncture
T
his involves connecting the needles to a micro or milli current. It helps speed up the recovery and provides more intense stimulation. It stimulates cellular healing and regeneration.

Acupressure
Pressure is applied to various acupuncture points or trigger points on the body.

Cupping
Glass or plastic biomagnetic cups are applied to the skin and a vacuum is created between the cup and the body. Cupping helps alleviate pain and it brings toxins to the surface so that they can be released from the body. It is often done on the back to ease back pain. The abdomin may also be cupped to help with digestive disorders.

Chinese Medicinal Herbs
Powdered herbs, or pills are given to treat your bodies specific disharmony. There are thousands of Chinese herbs and hundreds of Ancient Chinese Herbal Formulas to choose from. These traditional formulas are then modified with additional Chinese herbs according to each individuals tongue and pulse diagnosis and the patient’s chief complaint.

Chinese Dietary Therapy
Nutritional advice and counseling is given based on your specific body constitution and chief complaint. Foods will be selected based on their taste, temperature, healing properties, and therapeutic actions.

Gua Sha
Gua Sha means to “scrape toxins.” A piece of bone or jade is scraped along the skin to bring toxins to the surface of the skin so that they can be released from the body. Gua Sha  is often done on the neck to relieve sore throats and on the upper back to release congestion from the lungs.

Moxibustion
Moxibustion is the warming of the mugwort plant (Ai Ye) near acupuncture points on the body. It alleviates pain, warms the channels, and activates the qi in the meridians (blood and oxygen channels). It is especially effective at warming the womb for the treatment of infertility, dysmenorrhea, and amenorrhea.

Facial Renewal
It is a holistic cosmetic procedure designed to restore, rejuvenate, and relax. Drawn from ancient texts of Chinese medicine, the procedure is relatively painless and a natural technique. Small hair-width acupuncture needles are placed in a precise configuration just under the skins surface to stimulate blood flow, and increase circulation and production of collagen and elastin. This unique holistic system decreases the appearance of fine lines, tightens pores and leaves the skin smooth and glowing. Generally, 10-12 sessions 1-2 times per week is necessary to achieve maximal effect.
